Chińskie restauracje w Warszawie – okiem Chińczyka

Zapraszamy do lektury subiektywnej oceny kilku chińskich restauracji warszawskich. Naszym krytykiem jest Ma Keyong, student psychologii Uniwesrytetu Warszawskiego.

Food has always been regarded as one of the most important things for our daily life, nowadays the meaning of food has a deeper meaning than just keeping someone from being hungry, we care about its taste, its color and its smell.

Chinese food has a very high reputation around the world, but it is really hard to find a good place to enjoy real Chinese food in a foreign country, especially the majority of so called Chinese restaurant here in Warsaw are in fact Vietnamese bars. With the help of plchinese website and my personal experience, I will do a small summarize of the most popular Chinese restaurants in Warsaw among Chinese people, and hopefully this will help some local people to enjoy the real Chinese food. The marks are given from a scale from 1 to 5.

China Town (Centrum)
Taste: 1
Amount: 2
Price: 4
Service: 4

China Town (Reduta)
Taste:3
Amount:3
Price:4
Service:4

China Town (Airport)
Taste:3
Amount:3
Price:4
Service:4

China Town is one of the oldest Chinese restaurant in Warsaw, and it has developed into more than just a place to seek good food, among the Chinese people in Warsaw there is a saying that if you need to find out any activity that is going on among the Chinese group in Warsaw then China Town would be your best option. But China Town in the center has received several negative remarks as well, some claimed that the food was not cooked enough and they used salt as it were free, and some dishes were  hot only on the surface.

Fu Yuan (Old Town)
Taste:2
Amount:2
Price:2
Service:4
by the way:Roast duck is especially good.

Fu Yuan (Twarda)
Taste:2

HongKong House
Taste:4
Amount:3
Price:3
Service:2

Canton Restaurant
Taste:3
Amount:2
Price:2
Service:2

Canton Restaurant seems to be quite famous for its stingy amount of food for each dish, and some claimed that in the fish soup there were only fish head, maybe it was over boiled?

GD
Taste:3
Amount:2
Price:2
Service:4
by the way:Now they have a new chef, and the dishes are better now.

The reason for this one receives higher marks on Taste could be because it is located right in the center of GD, and it is very convenient ofr the workers to go there for a quick snack before they deliver their next shipping, but also because of its location and the fact that it is served mainly to Chinese people, the taste should be more genuine than these restaurant located in the center of Warsaw because they don’t have to adjust the dishes to the local taste.

WOOK next to the Center train station is also a good place to look for real Chinese food, but the amount of each dish is not so much, some say they offer extra amount for Chinese customers, so perhaps you can try to go with your Chinese friends. (:

So now you know where to look if your appetite craves for some real Chinese food, and next time when you pass a Vietnamese bar, just remember that they also serve French fries and salad among their Chinese dishes, and then you should know that it is time to keep walking until you find the right place to sooth your stomach.
